About this division
We are building this division now. Today we represent a small number of trained dogs, and we are growing carefully rather than quickly, because an animal on set has to be genuinely comfortable around lights, crew and repetition. Every animal books with an experienced handler. If you have a project in mind, talk to us and we will tell you honestly whether we can cast it yet.

Can you book a trained dog for a commercial in central PA?
We represent a small number of trained dogs and we are growing the division carefully. Tell us the shoot and we will tell you honestly whether we can cast it yet rather than stringing you along.
Does the animal come with a handler?
Always. Every animal books with an experienced handler on set, and the handler is part of the booking, not an extra you arrange yourself.
What should I tell you about the shoot?
The location, how long the animal is needed, whether there is loud equipment or crowding, and what you need the animal to actually do. An animal that is comfortable in a quiet studio is not automatically comfortable on a busy street.
What kinds of animals do you represent?
Dogs today. If you need something else, ask, and we will tell you whether we can source it with a handler we trust.
How do I register my animal?
Through the animal actor registration. It asks about the animal's age, breed, temperament, training and vaccinations, and it needs a clear photograph. Applications are reviewed quarterly and every applicant hears back.
What kinds of animals do you represent?
Any animal that works calmly on a set. Dogs are the most requested, but the division is not limited to them. Temperament matters more than tricks.
Does my animal need training or credits?
Not necessarily. Tell us honestly what the animal does well and what it struggles with, including being startled by noise or not getting along with other animals. An accurate picture is worth more to us than an impressive one.
Do you charge a fee to register an animal?
No. Central PA Talent does not charge signing fees for representation.
Booked in Lancaster, Harrisburg, York, Hershey, Reading and Lititz, and on location wherever a job takes us, from Pittsburgh to Baltimore, New York and Virginia.
