If you are searching for talent agencies near me, here is the short answer for Central Pennsylvania. Central PA Talent is one of the talent agencies serving Central Pennsylvania, representing models, actors, youth and animal actors. This guide covers what to look for, what it costs, and how applying works.

Is there a talent agency near me in Central Pennsylvania?

Yes, there are several, and Central PA Talent is one of them. Our talent is booked in Lancaster, Harrisburg, York, Hershey, Reading and Lititz, and on location wherever a job takes us, from Pittsburgh to Baltimore, New York and Virginia. You do not have to live in any one town to apply. If a client can reach you for a shoot in central Pennsylvania, you are close enough to be considered.

Which division is right for me or my child?

We have four. The Model Division represents models across all demographics and experience levels for print, commercial and social work. The Actor Division represents on-camera, voiceover and live event performers. The Youth Division represents babies, children and teens, and families are welcome to register more than one child. Our Animal Actors division is still taking shape: we represent a small number of trained dogs, each booked with an experienced handler, and we welcome submissions.

Does a talent agency charge to sign you?

Central PA Talent does not charge signing fees for representation. There is a one time $25 activation fee, which activates your talent account so you can begin receiving casting calls through our system, and it also gives you access to our mobile platforms. Whichever agency you talk to, ask for every charge in plain words before you sign anything, and ask what each one pays for.

Can I work with other agencies as well?

With us, yes. Central PA Talent is a non-exclusive agency, so talent can be represented by other agencies and can look for projects on their own. Signed talent are independent contractors rather than employees, they receive a 1099, and all payments are made by direct deposit. Actors are asked to confirm before signing that our contract will not conflict with any agreement they already have.

What happens after I apply?

It depends on the division. Models register online for a dated open call and meet us in person before anything is signed. You must pre-register to attend, the audition should take no longer than an hour, and there is nothing to bring. Actors, who must be 18 or older, submit a self-tape. Submissions are reviewed quarterly and review dates are not shared, so please do not call the office for updates. If you are selected, we tell you by email.

What should parents know before applying for a child?

Youth registration covers ages 4 to 17, and babies and toddlers under 4 join a separate database. A parent or legal guardian must be present for any scheduled meetings and must sign our minor talent contract. For bookings, a reliable adult chaperone must go with the child and stay attentive for the whole time on set. Most bookings happen during standard business hours, so a flexible daytime schedule matters for both the child and the chaperone.

How do I tell if an agency is a good fit?

Ask a few direct questions. What does it cost to sign, and what else will you be asked to pay? Can you work with other agencies? How do casting calls reach you, and how are you paid? Who looks after a minor on set? Representation means you are put forward for projects that fit you. It is not a promise of work.
